This is like the touring version of the ZX14? A buddy let me ride his last year. Fun bike. Felt like a monster compared to my FZ-09.

 

I like my Cooper S Convertible but the 2nd car is a 13 Benz C300 4matic. Wife generally drives that one so I can enjoy the Mini.

Yes, it is. Same basic engine, but different cams & variable valve timing for more torque, shaft drive instead of chain. The guy I ride with most often has the ZX14 and the Connie will pull him out of the hole, but once his tach hits about 7 grand, it's all over for me.
Still, she's no slouch and will do 0-60mph in under 4 seconds - in 1st gear.
I've had her up to 152mph (GPS confirmed, not the optimistic speedo).
Magazines put 1/4 mile times around 12.1, but I'm not a good enough motorcycle drag racer to pull that off.

 

Guess we're an affluent bunch. Wife drives '12 MCS, I drive a '14 Mustang. While I do occasionally enjoy driving the Mini, I like good old American muscle..

Yeah, it's funny how that worked out!
I originally wanted a pepper white MINI, but found the hyper blue one and went for it.
A white WRX would have been nice too, but I seized the opportunity for this one, and you can't go wrong with world rally blue!

 

Bought a "new" toy while the mini was getting the clutch, flywheel LSD work done. It's an even bigger project than the mini, no pun intended.
1977 Jeep J20 (made by AMC) with a 360 CI v8... it literally displaces 3.68 times the mini cooper..lol

I haven't gotten around any dynos yet but the sad thing is I'm pretty sure the mini has more HP and nearly as much torque... for now. Plans take time. And money. Neither of which do I currently have in excess, :shrug:

 

I have what I thought to have been my one and only love, a 2007 Dodge Magnum as my 2nd car (or first) depending on how you look at it. Just like the MINI it always brings looks and comments.
