Thank You! I'm working on completing the "collection" before I get married... lol One more to go and and I should be all "set... lol
The Elite is beautiful design! Ironically was attendance at a party last fall and the host had an Elite race car in his garage...Among other choice selections.
Too bad you no longer have any images today. Would have enjoyed seeing it. Good luck with enjoying your retirement with the MINI adventure!

Sadly the early sixties pictures faded to nothing. I was not able to bring that car back to the USA, as I could not get a safety glass windshield and it also needed sealed beam headlights, back then. I have always wished I still had it!
My school car when I got back to the states was a 1961 factory fuel injected Corvette. Fast, but crap compared to the Lotus.
E39s are great. No disrespect to the E36, but the Sprite makes me think that we have something in common. I had an MGB decades ago and still think I want another B or a TR4. I'm not as enamored of the Midgets and Bug-Eyes, but if I had more garage space I would probably pull the trigger (and regret it 10 months a year) on one of those old British Leyland cars.
I have not had an opportunity to drive an MGB or TR4 but I did get to drive a TR6 last year. I am quite new to the British car scene. I picked up the 62 Sprite from my grandfather who has had it since 1974. The difference between the Sprite and the TR6 is night and day. The TR6 was a power car, lots of low down torque, it didn't particularly care to be revved, the suspension just trampled the road. I am not sure how good of an example I was driving but it surprised me how much it rattled. The Sprite on the other hand a a very zippy car, light and nimble with an incredibly quick throttle response. The A-series engine loves to have the snot revved out of it. When I got the Sprite I figured it would just be a little put put around town car, but it turns out the thing is a real sports car that likes to be driven hard. It isn't fast in a strait line, but it feels fast no matter what speed you go due to its small size and low ride. The Sprite is a very pure driving experience, nothing is done automatically for you.
The British cars can be fun that is for sure. I bet a TR4 or a B is an excellent car to throw around too. If nothing else, they are great to look at!
I know this is getting a bit off topic, but in the mid 60's my first car was a '58 MGA hardtop. Didn't know how rare it was, wish I still had it. Also, same here no pix as they all faded to nothing..
1995 5.0 Mustang GT. Most days are MINI days since I drive 100 miles round trip to work. Love the precision, handling, and great mpg, but some days I go for raw muscle. Both are awesome in their own way! Sold my SUV for the MINI, but now I miss it for hauling stuff!
So I bought a 03 MCS for a family member, they neglected it, so now it be repo'd
My daily is an 15 Durango R/T, Track Car is a AE10 Miata, and we have a couple two wheeled toys that we don't ride since we had a kiddo.
2012 yukon denali
bought it in january, dropped it off at dealership and played dumb > " its making some weird ticking noise"
tech said it spun a bearing and trashed the motor, so they ordered new crank, bearings and whatever else and rebuilt it. the got it done on a friday said they wanted to put some miles on it over the weekend and make sure it was all good. they called me back the next monday said it sounded worse than before so they ordered a new engine for it .
just got it back after being at the dealership for 3 weeks
Gawd I hate those 28-spoke alloys. Impossible to clean!! Had those on my Road Glide ... first thing to go! Looks like you have a stage one performed on that EG, at least the air cleaner... Rinehart exhaust?

They also suck to try to get a tire pressure gauge and/or tire chuck into. But they do look nice when they are clean, as much as it sucks to do.
Pipes are Fuel Moto E-Series 2 into 1. Air cleaner is also Fuel Moto, with a DynoJet Power Vision tuner.
My 67 Chevelle that I have owned for 30 years. Used to be my daily, now only goes to car show. My daily is my 2011 R56S, wife's daily is her 2013 R57 Justa. Then we have the rest of the fleet: 99 Crown Vic, 71 Chevy C10 Cheyenne with only 86k original miles, 71 Jeep J2000 4x4, 79 Chrysler New Yorker Fifth Avenue Edition, 3 AMC Matador Coupes (a 1974 and 2 1975's), and a 78 Dodge B300 Minnie Winnie 19 ft RV that I either need to get busy on, or get rid of. All but 2 of the Matadors and the RV are registered and insured. No wonder I have limited funds for MINI mods!
