Okay, I read this whole thing! All 17 pages! I had one comment that I had to make but, I am too lazy to quote it! It said something about how every guy needs a truck! Well, let me tell you bucko! GIRLS Drive trucks TOO!!!

My second vehicle is you guess it a truck! But, no girly truck! It is a 2003 Ford F-150 FX4 with big O tires! Love her! I use her to haul the horses!

But, I do have to mention that I have hauled (7) Fifty pound bags of horse feed in the MINI. Now that was quite a sight! The guy at the feed store asked me where to put it so I had to show him.

Exactly! I made him increase his life insurance policy! He is at the point where he is starting to mod it. He want's to take it the track. I am ok with that, as long as we increase the life insurance policy again. Just for the record, I locked his butt out of the house after I came home from work to find a new motorcycle parked in front of our house. This was after we had agreed that he wouldn't buy a new 12k motorcycle for atleast 6 mo's. He is a bit impulsive.

I, for one want to apoligize for mentioning that P-ups are for guys. As for storage capacity, people are always amazed what a MINI can hold. We were on a 2-week trip to NY Finger Lake Wine country. We stayed at one motel and went on day trips. When it came time to head for the barn, we didn't realize how much wine and other assorted items we had gathered and stored in our room. People stood around and watched us pack and kept shaking their heads. Yes, we got it all in. The UPS guy wanted to put the MINI in the back of his truck. I think it would have fit if we could have found a ramp.

A lot of folks must be of the belief that he/she who has the most toys, wins.

Nice Lotus! I understand that a Lotus is one of the few cars that can stay with a MINI on a good Twisty, like the Dragon. Never had a chance to find out. I seem to come up behind the folks driving their favorite dinasour stationwagon.

1965 VW Bus - pristine
1965 VW Bug convertible - also pristine
1997 VW Jetta - son's car - constantly filthy and full of In-n-out wrappers
2004 VW Touareg - wife's daily ride, and trailer tower

Guess we own enough VWs!

I bought a powder blue 68 Beattle in 68 for $1800.00. Wish I still had it. I would still have bought the MINI, but it would be nice to still have the Bug. I don't think the new ones can compare.

Earlier on, I lsited what other vehicles I have and forgot one, a 1978 Cessna 172. Since getting the MINI, it hasn't seen as much use as before.

MINI marketing does such a good job, you got to love them

Elise/Exige will eat a MINI for breakfast but all is good

For some insight into these things, if anyone cares, take a look at R&T skidpad and slalom times for all the cars they have tested.

'99 Honda Civic DX Hatchback converted into full Civic Type R. Everything from rear disc brake conversion to the B16B motor. These photos were taken early on during the conversion. Car was very light and quick. I have a feeling it could have kept up with my '06 JCW.

My Toys

I've had several cars in the last 10 years that I shouldn't have sold... 1988 Saab 9000 Turbo, 1994 Mitsubishi Mighty Max 2.4, 1996 Audi A4 2.8 Quattro, 2003 BMW X5 3.0, 2004 Chevy Tahoe LT, 2005 Lincoln Navigator Limited... Hey, I could have started a Auto dealership or rental...!

My Other vehicles

My other vehicles are (pics on my profile):

1999 Yamaha YZF-R1 with some mods, when I'm in a happy chilling mood and want to go faster than the MINI.

2003 Yamaha Roadstar Warrior with some mods, when I want to be loud an annoying... shorty pipes with no baffles!

2007 Chevy Avalanche with 22" chrome rims, family transpo and trailer puller (6x12 enclosed trailer for the bikes).

Wife's DD is an '04 Infiniti G35 Sedan. Been good enough for us to probably lease another one in December. The '07 is VERY nice.

She loves it; I think it's the right car for her. But the MINI fits me just right.

Second car

Until my wife got her MC last month, we had 3 SUVs and a Ford Focus. The Focus is my daughter's. My wife had an '02 Ford Explorer (traded in on the MC). I currently have a '99 Lincoln Navigator, which I am exchanging for my MCS that is on its way across the pond as we speak. My son has the 3rd SUV, a '95 Explorer, which I can't wait to sign over the title once he graduates from college next spring so I can get that "male under 25" off my insurance!
