Ordered our Cooper S Convertible in BRG II last week - my wife wouldn't accept any other color! This color is near impossible to find (so many Reds and Whites out there, but no greens) so had no choice but to custom order. On the plus side, we'll get it exactly the way we wanted with the JCW interior and all the other options we needed (Comfort access, xenons, premium sound etc). Can't wait for the wait to be over!

British Racing Green II

There are still some who like BRG MINIs out in NAMland. In response to the request, our BRG MINI photo above.

We travel by boat and collect sunsets. There is a rarely occuring atomopheric phenomenom that causes the sunset to flash green when setting over water. The name ties our boating and motoring together.

Thanks! I'm pretty envious of your not one, but TWO JCWs! What wheels are you running your BRG?

British Racing Green was a color I just fell into by chance. I was originally thinking BLK/W or maybe CR/W, but when I started looking at used MINIs I found my BRG/W and just knew it was right.

Turns out there's one BRG Clubby in our local MINI club, and I've seen one other on the street, but they're not that common here in Tampa Bay.

Thanks! Yeah those are 7 x 17 R90 Cross Spoke Design Composite Light Alloy Wheel. They're a Mini OEM wheel designed by BBS

Finally! Here are a couple of shots of my car. They were taken yesterday up on Angeles Crest. I've had it now for about six months, it's got about 5,100 miles on it. I continue to be very pleased with every aspect if it.

Nice! Seeing that particular picture struck a chord, as that was nearly the same angle/perspective as the first photo I saw of my car at the dealership. Mine had the web spoke wheels too, but with white bonnet stripes/roof/mirror. It was love at first sight LOL

haha, i feel ya on that..btw i noticed you bonnet stripes are no longer on your bonnet. if you don't mind me asking how did you end up removing them and whether if there's a noticeable mark where the old stripes used to be? I'm thinking about removing the stripes but I'm a little anxious it might leave a mark.

I removed the stripes by kinda picking at one corner to loosen the vinyl, then peeling the stripe off inch by inch. I tried using a hair dryer to help loosen the adhesive but ended up doing most of the removal without.

I bought my car in Sept. '10, so the stripes had been on for a little over four years. I did notice a bit of ghosting: just a slight trace of where the stripes had been. I think it's basically paint fade from the sun (this was/is a FL car). You can't see the ghosting in pics, nor really in person unless you look at the bonnet from a certain angle in the right light. I notice it cuz I'm OCD about my MINI like that But, to the unfamiliar eye it'd be virtually undetectable.
