Official British Racing Green Thread
Ordered our Cooper S Convertible in BRG II last week - my wife wouldn't accept any other color! This color is near impossible to find (so many Reds and Whites out there, but no greens) so had no choice but to custom order. On the plus side, we'll get it exactly the way we wanted with the JCW interior and all the other options we needed (Comfort access, xenons, premium sound etc). Can't wait for the wait to be over!
Holy cr@p no posts for almost 5 months! Any of you greenies still alive? If so:
Acquired an '04 BRG JCW R53 today! Now we are a 2 Mini family, both JCWs. I am so stoked !!!!!!
Wife's 08 R52's nick name is "Katie"
My 04 R53 is aptly named "14 Ball"

AND My new favorite color: BRITISH RACING GREEN!
And now for the PICTS!!!

British Racing Green II

There are still some who like BRG MINIs out in NAMland. In response to the request, our BRG MINI photo above.
We travel by boat and collect sunsets. There is a rarely occuring atomopheric phenomenom that causes the sunset to flash green when setting over water. The name ties our boating and motoring together.

Thanks! I'm pretty envious of your not one, but TWO JCWs!
What wheels are you running your BRG?
British Racing Green was a color I just fell into by chance. I was originally thinking BLK/W or maybe CR/W, but when I started looking at used MINIs I found my BRG/W and just knew it was right.
Turns out there's one BRG Clubby in our local MINI club, and I've seen one other on the street, but they're not that common here in Tampa Bay.

Finally! Here are a couple of shots of my car. They were taken yesterday up on Angeles Crest. I've had it now for about six months, it's got about 5,100 miles on it. I continue to be very pleased with every aspect if it.
this is my 2nd british racing green mini, i fell in love with this color and decided to stick to it. the mini was purchased a month ago with just over 21k miles now. Here's an image taken this past Sunday. (look at the mini smiling at the sun, wiggling its tail) lol.
What year, and what's your interior look like?
thank you sir, its a 2006 6spd with black leatherette interior, and pano. sunroof. still stock, yet!
Nice! Seeing that particular picture struck a chord, as that was nearly the same angle/perspective as the first photo I saw of my car at the dealership. Mine had the web spoke wheels too, but with white bonnet stripes/roof/mirror. It was love at first sight LOL
haha, i feel ya on that..btw i noticed you bonnet stripes are no longer on your bonnet. if you don't mind me asking how did you end up removing them and whether if there's a noticeable mark where the old stripes used to be? I'm thinking about removing the stripes but I'm a little anxious it might leave a mark.

I bought my car in Sept. '10, so the stripes had been on for a little over four years. I did notice a bit of ghosting: just a slight trace of where the stripes had been. I think it's basically paint fade from the sun (this was/is a FL car). You can't see the ghosting in pics, nor really in person unless you look at the bonnet from a certain angle in the right light. I notice it cuz I'm OCD about my MINI like that
But, to the unfamiliar eye it'd be virtually undetectable.
