New MINI owner - formerly a motorcycle rider for over 30 years, last spring had a confrontation with a deer - healing nicely but time for 4 wheels - needed to find something fun and quick -

Found an 04 MCS JCW that I couldn't pass up. BRG with black panorama top, full leather all the features - a killer nice car - taking our first ride with our local MINI club this Saturday - Should be fun - I"ll post photos if someone will give me a tip on how to do it to the thread page not the gallery -

Hi to all

Steve

One way to do this is to upload your photos to a site like Photobucket or Flickr, then copy/paste the IMG code from the pic into the thread using the Insert Image button in the compose toolbar. Look forward to seeing your pics!

Mini Hulk BRG!

With the white wheels matching the roof and mirrors, it looks cool in the night lights as well. I've only had it for four months, and it's incredible!!!

I like the white wheels but they are a bi*ch to keep clean. Never the less it looks good.

They suck to try and keep clean, and as of now, I'm looking at getting some ceramic brake pads to keep the dust down. They do keep that 'faraway' beauty though... from far away. Saw some on minimania at
http://new.minimania.com/part/NMB111...2-53-Cooper--S

Suggestions??? I know I can get others cheaper elsewise.

White Wheels

Yeah, white wheels are harder to keep clean, but IMO the effort is worth it. I finally have ceramic pads on all four corners which helps BIG time. (I was running ceramics on the front, OEM on the back for a while, and the rear wheels were disgusting!) Another tip: next time you wash your car/wheels put a coat of wax on them. That'll make future cleanups even easier yet.

Was the white slites rare I dont see many? But wyen my are clean they are really sexy I havegot alot of compliments on tthem. I love the white roof mirror rims stripe with the BRG.
Also peraonally I think brg is the obly color that can pull off white accents every other one needs black.

Also its so easy to find my car it stands out in tge parkibg lot I look for the really short white roof.

I think a lot of us were too lazy to clean the white wheels all the time, so we opted for the silver... . The white does look very good when clean though.

I am not sure white Slites were an option in 2005. If they were I went with the silver because of the dirt issue. They do look good, they give the MINI that "Sunday Best" look.

Very nice! Love the blacked headlamps. Now start modding that thing and get it over 200hp!

My 2005 MCS looked exactly like this one, but with the BBS-style wheels. I traded it in on a 3 Series because I could not tolerate the ride with sport suspension.

My new car, here next week, is another MCS, but this time a Clubman, all BRG. No sport suspension this time, and 16-inch wheels. I am anxious to get my paws on it. Pictures when it happens. For now, this will have to do.

That's me with the car, by the way.

Graphics

Never been fond of graphics on the MINI but decided I had to get something to make this guy distinctive - as a KTM motorcycle rider I bleed orange so here is my touch, note the John Cooper signature at the bottom.

Interesting, never thought to white out the scoop. Thinking of going chrome on mine. Just got a 07 MCS that does not have a heat shield so the scoop is warped...
Guess I need to get some pics on here.

I've seen some PW/B, CR/B and Y/B MCSs with black or carbon fiber scoops, and liked the contrast on the bonnet. I thought I'd stick with white as it'd gibe best with the rest of the car. Almost went lime green but thought I'd need to treat another part of the car and couldn't decide between mirrors or the spoiler, so in the end I opted to keep it cleaner & simpler.

A chrome scoop could look good with chrome mirror caps too. Now post some pics dammit

What a good choice. As somebody here said, "loads of fun and not too flashy."

Well it looks like great minds think alike with the matching c pillars eh? My only question is where the heck were you when I was having anxiety over my choice? Thrilled my decision to match them at the end of the day. Right away the first thing I went to look at.
