New to Mini and waiting for delivery of my new BRG MCS.

 

never included mine even though she's a couple months old now ...

 

I just took delivery yesterday; despite being worried about driving home in snowy weather- all was good- worth the weeks of waiting!
MC BRG/W, Auto, Cold Comfort Pkg, white tails, front & rear fog, DCS

 

nice! looks like the cold weather pkg will come in handy! i hope to post pics of mine next week.

 

Hi all you BRG folks! I'm a proud new owner of Cricket - picked her up Friday.
I have all the packages except the Sirius and the nav pkg. redwood interior, 17 in. web spokes, MCS, black roof.
I have a question for you all -- did you tint your windows? what shade? did you do the sunroof darker? Does it take away from the enjoyment of seeing outside 'up'? Are you pleased with the results? I'm torn whether I should do this or not. Also, what price range should I expect to pay, and what is the bet manufacturer of the window films?

I'd talk to your dealer about who they use for tinting and see what their prices are. Shading / tint is something that really depends on where you live.

Don't have my MINI yet, but I'm getting a roof graphic to help with the sunroof, but I live less than 20 miles from the Mexico border, so I've got some sun-issues.

 

I'll see what I can do. I do recommend getting the BMW bulbs for clear turn signals. They get rid of the egg yolk look.

The BMW P/N is - 63 21 7 160 897. You will need 4 of them and I think that they run about $12 each. I had mine thrown in with the deal, so you might want to go that route.

Cool what make is that model and where did you get it?

 

A friend at work picked it up for me, so I don't know where it was purchased, it's a Kinsmart brand, model 'kt 5042'. Kind of a cheapie, but it's still neat. Makes me want to get a higher quality replica and customize it to match mine.

Oh yeah it had light gray interior also -- feathered it with some spray paint..

 

I got my Kinsmart model at Albertson's. It was on a little display by the checkout.

 

I see a lot of detail in that model. Pretty neato!

That looks sweet...what wheels and size are your "summer" wheels?

 

18" Rota subzero with 215/35-18 yokohama parada, et 45 and they are 7,5" width. At the back I have 5mm spacers

 

I'll be getting a BRG convertible next week. Though I do think the best color was cool blue...pity they axed it.

 

I've placed an order for a BRG Clubman S which I hope to get in early May. Are there many (any?) other BRG Clubman owners lurking around here? Everyone seems to have a blue or, of course, Hot Chocolate Clubman. You just can't top the green color on the MINI, especially when it's the "British Racing" variety.

Just as God intended, Ferrari's should be red, Lambo's should be yellow and Mini's should be British Racing Green.

While I have and love my BRG MCS, I would have a hard time saying the "prototype" MINI is BRG. I think CR is still the expected MINI color. Just my $.02
