1/2 A Tank After 100 miles??!?

I'm now working closer to home (about 30 minutes on surface streets each way) and I've needed to use the AC for several months now.
It seems to me that my car is using much more gas than it should.
Yesterday it dropped to half a tank after 100 miles. It's still under warranty so I can bring it in, but I'm just curious what any of you think of this. I don't remember it using this much gas in the previous two years I've owned it.
2022 Cooper S Hardtop. 17,900 miles.
Thanks

A/C can decrease the mileage a lot. Driving style also. After that the biggest thing is an oxygen sensor on its way out or being bad.

That occurred to me as I was writing this post because occasionally I will also get slightly rough idle, but no check engine light yet.
Thanks

was a full tank at the beginning of the week. Now, approximately 68 miles left after driving 100 146 miles.

"maybe" a data point (?)....
By comparison - I can get an average of 145mi - 175mi on a half a tank in my modestly modded '04 R53... as long as I keep a heavy foot off it/depending on how I drive.
Although I should also note that rarely (if never) do I run my AC.
To echo ECS' point: I've often noticed that the extra load w/AC on slightly retards the performance as well as (to your point) consumes a noticeable amount of fuel.

Maybe almost as bad as when I'm stuck sitting still in gridlock. I can almost literally watch my gas gauge ticking down by the minute!
