Trying to source a new Mini Convertible in NY

Are there any mini specific listings anywhere? In the past when I owned previous cars with strong enthusiast followings, there were areas that had strong resell markets, people buying/listing their cars for sale. Often on forums such as this.
My 2006 Mini Convertible was recently totalled :( so I am looking for a similar vehicle (expanded from R52 to include non N14 R57s). Searching on FB and craigslist is a waste of time as many cars are either over priced junk or misrepresented and i dont find out until i drive 40 minutes out to test drive the vehicle. I would prefer to buy from someone who cared for and took pride in their cars and can speak to alittle about the history of the car.
I tried looking at the regional forums on here and there were some listings, but the region itself isn't very active.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

edit: Im not sure how to delete this thread - but I found the 'new' marketplace! Sorry for the premature post!

This is the best place:

https://www.northamericanmotoring.com/forums/market/

Good thread to find the Rare Good ones, our MINI knowledge and super superior searching MINI fanatics', we also post commentary: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ispreloading=1

FB and craigslist on your own: You might find one but its very rare and hard as most I have seen are beat up or at buy here pay here places (I mean run away places). I would stay away from these places.

Cars.com, car guru, autotrader..etc are a good places also.

If you want to pay $$$ and get super low miles: cars and bids or bring a trailer - very few MINIs but they have them from time to time.

Good luck.

Online have visited (via their web sites) various car dealers near and far and checked out new and used inventory.

I have also used cars.com, autotrader.com for used cars.

Of course regardless of where or how you find the used car for a used example you still need to approach it with a healthy amount of skepticism and only after a thorough used car check out decide if you want to buy the car or continue looking.

Welcome to the forum. I decided to part with my R52 MINI this year and listed it in the marketplace. I have since committed to bringing it to Mecum Harrisburg in late July. If you don't find what you are looking for, you may want to venture down to Harrisburg PA and try for mine.

What about this one?

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/217562001155616/
I've been keeping my eye out for an R52 in S form for a while but my budget is half this one's price. Nice mods but a bit steep IMHO.

Ones that look like a good buy go quickly, but I have a hard time buying when I haven't seen the car in person, and yes some interesting omissions from sellers.

They're popping up on a regular basis on Cars and Bids. There's a '05 JCW in CO currently up for no reserve.

Good luck

cheers

You might want to check out bestdealsautofla.com. They’ve got a pretty solid selection, and I’ve seen some good options on there for hard-to-find models like the Mini Convertible. It’s worth a look if you’re coming up short locally.
