R56 hesitates/snorts when accelerating only from a full stop

R56 hesitates/snorts when accelerating only from a full stop
R56, 2012, automatic, 130k, Cooper S
Been happening for a few months.
ONLY from a full stop
Press on the gas and it can give me a hesitation and/or make a snorting sound. It almost feels like it is close to stalling but never does, then goes on perfectly fine. Driving after that is normal.
Any ideas how I could go about fixing this?

did you check the fuel injectors ?
