On cold starts, my R56 hiccups after 30 seconds and almost stalls
I've had two mechanics look at this but neither bothered with it because it doesn't happen with them. It really only occurs when car has sat overnight or long hours.
Upon starting in the morning, the rpms go high and as they come down to the 1000 level at 30 seconds the car starts to hiccup/gasp. If I try to drive immediately it will stall. After 30seconds it settles down and will be fine. Going on 6 months now :(
Any clue to get this fixed?

If you can get a hold of a schwaben type scanner you can watch hi pressure fuel rail data live. IIRC 7MPa is what it should be at idle. If that checks out, look at lo pressure data. I don't know that number off hand but the tool tells you the target and your actual values.
