2010 Clubman iPhone music

I am having trouble finding a specific answer on the threads to the following question(s):
Can I play music through my iPhone?
If so, what is the specific cable I need to purchase?
Thanks!!!

If your MINI has an auxiliary input (headphone jack), which a 2010 R55 should have (my 2012 does, it is just below the toggle for the passenger side window), you can get an AUX cord to plug in. They do make AUX cords that have a lightning input on the other end, so even though newer iPhone's do not have a headphone jack, you can still plug the phone in. Even if your vehicle has Bluetooth for making phone calls, music streaming and app capabilities were not introduced until the more recent generation of cars with the MINI Connected system. Hope this answers your question!
