Transponder ring antenna

Hello all!
I have a question.
I'm receiving a 2006 mini Cooper next week and it needs a little work.
Someone thought the coil in the transponder antenna was a tracking device and ripped it out.
After I replace that part and replace the battery is there anything special I need to do?
I'm I going to have trouble with the anti theft or anything?

This is the ring and all it really does is read the signal the EWS model is programmed, hopefully, they did not damage the wire or do anything to the ews system. Get a new one and see if that works. I would just test it with starting the car, also if you get close to it it will charge the key and also make the interior beeping noise if the door is open also.
