Front end shot.. Upgrades?

I'm replacing a few front end parts:

-Both front strut mounts
-Left front inner ball joint
-Both front lower control arm bushings

Is this an opportunity to get something better than stock? Are there beefed up aftermarket options or should I stick with dealer parts?

For control arm bushings the Powerflex are the go to must have as they will never wear out again.

For the strut mounts the only upgrade would a a set of camber plates. If you have stock springs you can use the fixed camber plates as they will give you a little extra camber and are thicker to prevent mushrooming.

For ball joints stock are best

Im also having a valeo SM clutch installed at the same time. Do you recommend anything else getting replaced while I'm in there?

Had not planned on it... dont know what those even are, lol. Let me Google it. Are those the same as wheel bearings? If so, I'll just wait for those to fail since labor isn't all that much.

I second the PowerFlex bushings. I replaced my girlfriend's suspension components and she really appreciated the improvements.

I remember staring down a very similar box of parts. You'll be surprised how much tighter everything is going to feel when you're behind the wheel again.

Finally got it back after 8 days in the shop! Replaced the clutch with a Valeo SM, supercharger service, power steering hose, Ireland fixed camber plates, Powerflex bushings, inner ball joints, rear seal, and crank o-ring. Final bill (I supplied all parts and fluids) was $1370.. Less than I expected.

Installed Mini Mania's magnetic bonnet stripes this evening to top off the mechanical work. I'll be biding my time driving 500 miles for the break in period.

First impression of the Valeo is a super light clutch pedal. I knew it would be lighter, but this is feather-light. Not a bad thing exactly, just will take getting used to. No chatter! Engagement feels good.
