Hi all I am 47. Just bought my first Mini after my Honda Accord was involved in a severe "altercation" with a Lexus. I had that car for 13 years. Now it's time for the vehicle I have lusted after for the last 10 years!! I bought my orange RayBans to match. I pick up my sweetie tomorrow. PS It's a convertible but of course!! Long Dark Hair Flying!!

You beat me. 61 in less than a month. I still run over 40 miles per week. Total miles running since 1976--57,731!! More miles on me than just about any car I have owned. A quick "jog" down memory lane--some of my cars: 51 Dodge, 59 MGA, 65 Chevelle( bad boy), 67 VW, 70VW, 71 MG Midget (probably the worst car), 74 Chev Impala, 79 911 Porche(close 2nd worst car), 86 VW GTI, 91 5.0 Mustang(mods), 98 Z28 Camaro(mods), 2001 Corvette(mods). Awaiting my 05 MCS --(mods to come). EDD TODAY! Of course no word from the dealer.

Likewise! That make us sound so old! I'm 25 but still feel 17, if that counts for anything?

Not a MINI driver yet but will be almost 55 going on 25!!! most of the time. When my wife is in the car with me I have to act my true age. Even though she is visually impaired she gets nervous.

My Chili Red for the big Six OH
My husband gave me a Happy Birthday via a wonderful 2009 MC Hardtop, Chili Red/white roof, and getting more customized every week.
I'm about to fall into the "absolutely aged" pile this month when I will be 60 years of age.
People ask me how I like my car - now a whole month being my Maxine - and I tell them that I don't know how I did without her.
So, there ya go, the big Six Oh!

A little update--nearly seven years later. Soon to be 68. Still running 40-50 miles per week: total miles recorded running since 4/76--- 73,306 miles!! Sold my '05 MCS(BUD) in '09. Bought a '09 135i 6spd manual. Missed my MINI. Anxiously awaiting my '11 JCW (BUD2). Docks in Brunswick, GA on 6/7--a day after our 47th wedding anniversary!! Life has been good and I am very greatful. Nick

Other then grgramps I must have the next oldest date - 72 (haven't read them all as I'm tooooo old). This is my second mid-life crisis, first was my Harley (which I just did 1,100mi on last week).
