Ages of MINI drivers, don't be shy
.......and if I can throw a compliment your way Doug......probably the best "toolmaker/modelmaker/moldmaker/shift **** maker" in the business
As for me (well I posted in this thread before, but I guess I better update since I seem to keep getting older for some reason); 52, retired 8 years early because I lucked out with some investments and now I just sit around and pray it doesn't go away
(Lord knows what could happen in this economy)

Age: Between "dragging 50" and "pushing 60"
Brand new 2011 Mini Cooper S Convertible here.
Amusing little story:
When we drove into our condo complex a few days ago (with the top down, of course), one of the neighborhood kids (age 10-11ish) yelled out to his friends, "Wow -- they have a Mini Cooper!!".
Had a small gaggle of kids follow us to our driveway.
Our new car has gotten a pretty big thumbs-up from the adults on our street, but it has gotten a *huge* thumbs-up from their kids.
Bold prediction: If the Mini Cooper folks execute properly, they will capture a really big chunk of the "next generation" market-share...

It makes me wonder if a MINI showed up strategically in some video game or something like that to plant the seed in the kids' minds of how cool our cars are....
C ya,
Dutch
She makes a fair point... we engineers are probably predisposed to nerding out about our cars.
