haha i know how you feel! i went to the Aggieland Anniversary MINI meet and saw a bunch a younger "crew" of people, but for the most part, in Houston, it's older people.

26 here. I think I'm the only younger Mini driver that does the wave around here. I always get it from older drivers, but I've been outright scoffed at by younger drivers that I have waved to. I don't see how these people can be angry driving such a funny awesome little car. cheers.

24 year old here. I get the exact opposite from drivers out here in the Northwest. All the youth with Coopers wave, but those of the older generation seem to be stoic behind the wheel of their MC's.
Cheers.

I have only had my MINI since 10/25, but the wave out here in Los Angeles does not exist. I have had one guy, just last week give me a head nod, and I got waves back, two in one day just earlier this week, but other than that, nothing. I can't even get eye contact from most.

The big 3-0 in mid October... and my MINI and I spent a two week long 7500 mile cross country and back road trip together for my birthday! Car was bought brand new in Aug. '05.

I've had Beelzebub for 1.8yrs now and have noticed a steady decline in waves/light flashing. Sadly, I think the MINI has become an "in" car, kinda like the original Porsches, BMWs, etc. The owners tend to fall into two sorts: the gear heads who by them for what they are and the "status" seekers. There's an old joke in these parts that pretty well covers it: "What's the difference between a porcupine and a Porsche? On the porcupine, the ***** is on the outside!"

41 here my mini is a 2004 MCS paid in full with MSD coil pack, NGK plugs, Nology Hot wires, WMW installed 15% reduction pulley, INVIDA performance exaust, cold air intake.

I have also noticed a decline in waves and the like. MINI should run a campaign to revive the wave!!!

50 - had to have a vehicle that did better on fuel, but still reliable and fun to drive... the Mini definitely fit the requirement
