BBK question

So currently I have on my R53 a set of R56 JCW Brembo front brakes with rotors sized at 294mm. I'm fine with this setup but I wanted to try something a little different, I bought a set of rotors sized at 316mm and I was going to purchase a Wilwood caliper kit from Todd over at TCE. I have spoken with him a few times on the phone and via email, he's been very helpful but I just want to cover all my bases before pulling the trigger on the even larger rotor/caliper combo.

So my question is, currently I'm running a set of 17" konig forward wheels (off the top of my head i think the offset is et40) is there going to be a fitment issue? How much extra room will I need, at first I was fairly certain they'd fit, but now I'm not entirely sure. Does anyone have a BBK with the 316mm rotors?

Like I said I already have a set of 294mm rotors, and I can go that route with the Wilwoods I'm just not certain of which direction to go. Thanks for any and all help.

I'd be worried about the brake balance. You need to think about the rear brakes at some point.

Yep I've already got that sorted....... remember I've been running a JCW BBK as of now so I'm familiar with balancing the front to rear aspect ratio in the car. I'm more concerned with this post is fitment with the larger rotors.

Cut out a cardboard template the size of the bigger rotors and see...

What brakes are you running in the rear? Without actually measuring the swept area of the new pads and rotors, you'll have to actually wait to test any changes to the brake balance of the car. (yea, I'm a dumb engineer...)

Then there is the pad compound friction considerations.
