Custom tow hook mount

I am trying to gauge interest in a custom tow hook mount my buddy and I made. It could attach to anything with a hole in the middle theoretically and could attach to multiple different tow hook designs. I liked the idea of a GoPro tow hook mount but for $60 I would pass. We are thinking these would be around $30 shipped to the upper 48 states. It is 3D printed ABS plastic. This is the first one made and considered a prototype. Would anyone be interested in buying one of these? And is $30 reasonable?

Did you make just the "washers" or the GoPro part as well? While I was googling around to check prices of currently available mounts this one came up: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:300437
Looks decent.

You can get metal ones for $40 or $50, for comparison.

It's a good idea but the plastic probably wouldn't hold up well over bumps.

For the first trial of it the only thing printed was the 2 black ovals.

So what would this do for me that a GOPro tripod mount for $10 (cheapest one I could find), a 1/4" 20TPI bolt to match the tripod threads (maybe with a **** like this for $2) and a couple of big flat washers for $0.70 from your local Lowes wouldn't?

Serious question, that's your competition for the washer idea.

I used a pair of big washers with a bolt, I found the tow hook slightly rotated over time so I squirted some rubber paint on the tow hook threads and screwed it in while wet. I reapply more rubber paint about every third reinsertion.

Yeah... it does seem something just as reasonable would be easily handmade. However, I like where your mind is heading, so how about a shift of those creative juices and instead of a go pro mount 3d print something that attaches to the factory tow hook and holds a licence plate. I think something like that would be more marketable and less easily done by jo shmo.

Yes. There are products out there that cost 80 dollars or more to relocate the front license plate to the tow hook mounting hardware. This is a more aesthetically pleasing location for most, and also blocks the radiator and intercooler less. If you can make something that works to that effect for a lower price I imagine there would be greater appreciation for your product.
