I have an '09 mini cooper. I unfortunately was a little too enthusiastic with the tabs when removing the headlight trim and it broke off. Now it's hanging on by one. Or it was. Until I was merging onto the highway today and the car in front of me hit a huge rock which then flew up and hit my hood on the passenger side which just so happened to be the side with the loose trim. So when I got home I looked and it's gone. I'll be replacing it but my question is can you replace broken tabs?? If not I don't think anything will stay in place there.

Which tabs broke on the headlight rings ? Those tab hold onto the metal hood.

Awesome, that's what I guess you meant, if the tabs are broke you can replace them but if the tab is stuck on the mount( part of those rings ) then the mount for the tabs broke, which then you replace the whole ring.

Here is the install and take off DIY for headlights, to make sure you have them in right.
