BG44K is a fuel system cleaner that cleans the entire fuel system such as injectors, tops of pistons and intake valves.BG44K contains no alcohol.BG44K is a detergent in basic terms.Every gas station out there such as Shell,Conoco etc has there own formulation of detergents that they add to there gas.The percent of detergent is about 3% that they add to they fuels at that refinery.BG44K adds about 30% detergents when used with a full tank of gas.For myself i use BG44K on every other fill up and use what ever gas station has the best prices and never had any problems with fue related problems such as carbon build up,soot etc,,

Thanks

Erik

While I agree bg44k is the best cleaner around....
Spending $30+ on a can of it every other tank is crazy!!!
Sure you can buy it on Amazon, etc...but rarely gets much cheaper....even if you are a dealer and get it for $15 it is still a crazy $$$ for every other tank of gas.....

A can every 3 to 5K miles is adequate.

Update: 1 1/2 tank full of Sunoco Premium 91 octane. No soot to date, smoother idle, little more pep, and so far (fingers crossed) no jerking between gears like before. Sunoco is not TopTier though, so I added one can of Techron to my last tank full. Car just broke 3K miles.

Regards,
David
