I just got a mini cooper 2003 base model, I noticed that when the car is cold start right away but after I been driving it for awhile and shut it down when I go to start the car again, the car starts then it will stall unless I push on the gas. Also after is warm if I move the steering wheel while idling, to the left or to the right the RMPS drop and the car wants to stall, it doesn't stall thou it will recover back to normal. It only does it when the car is warm, no problems when the car is cold. Any suggestions on what it could be?

 

I recently had an identical issue on my 2012. Cold starts were no problem, but warm starts caused rpm fluttering at 800rpm, as if it were going to stall, then it would be fine after that.

Turns out it was simply the battery! Dealer replaced battery for free and I haven't had a problem since. Hope yours turns out to be something simple, good luck and keep us posted!

got the battery and the alternator tested and they are good, not sure what else to check.
