Good MINI Repair Shop in Austin or SA area

I've just purchased a 2006 MINI Cooper S convertible and need to find a good independent repair shop in South Central TX area near the Austin or San Antonio area. It has 67,000 miles on it and the inspection light just came on, so I need to find a reliable shop to handle this and any future needs I may (will) have.

I do not want to use a dealership to avoid their high labor costs and, in general, their mediocre work. I have heard that MINI of SA is bad, but MINI of Austin is decent.

I live in Canyon Lake which is about 35 miles from SA and 60 miles to Austin.

Please give me the names of some shops you have had good experiences with as well as which ones to avoid. I'm new to this area so I need help.

Thanks,

Mike

Nobody have their MINI serviced in my area?

Hey guys, over 70 views and no replies? Some one must have had their MINI worked on at a shop, other than a dealership.

I could really use some input on your experiences.

Seven shops in Austin and five in San Antonio are listed in the independent shop tab on the site below. Unfortunately we have no recommendations for shops in those areas. Hope this helps. Good luck.

My son had his thermostat replaced at DasAutoWerks in Austin. All good, real fair pricing. That was a couple months ago. No issues.

I would recommend DasAutoWerks as well. Haven't had my MINI serviced there, but have dealt with them on other vehicles and never had an issue with them.
