Customer Appreciation Clinic?

Anyone here ever been to one the dealer's "Customer Appreciation Clinics"? They keep sending me emails about one coming up later this week.

It sounds like a free inspection and car wash. What's the "valuable MINI gift" they given in the past?

Trying to gauge whether it'd be worth my time or not.

they went thru the car and built a list of things 'needed'

heard them give several owners a long list totalling thousands

they were very disappointed when the only thing they could recommend for me was a brake fluid flush - at 6 years old.

I got a MINI ball cap . . .

Thanks for responding.

I've been to one in the Chicago area 2 years ago. It was fairly interesting as a new MINI owner. It was mostly designed for new owners to feel more comfortable with the dealership.

They took us through a tour of the back areas of the service bays, parts department and warehouse. Mine is a brand new dealership, so it was interesting how they automated the parts ordering and dispensing (all robotic), how the tires are stored in a 5 story automated tower, how "green" they are now, etc. Not something I'd seen before.

They had snacks, soda, "mini" sandwiches to munch on. Total tine was about 75 minutes. They discussed and showed some MINI accessories, but no hard sell. Gift was a MINI key chain and dealer pen.

Probably not really worth the time, but it was a nice night to drive with the top down (not that I need an excuse).
