I keep getting the P0420 code and i dont want to remap my ECU

Who has this on their car and does it work?

 

Not really seeing this as so much of a fix. According to them it just keeps resetting the code. If you are worrying about an emissions check you will probably fail on the readiness check.

 

The emissions levels should be fine as i am running a sports cat - 200 cell on my JCW

Its just the emissions light that pisses me off

 

Problem is if they hook into your computer it will show the reset of the code. If you're in in a READY state you will automatically fail.

 

Yes it works fine. I've had it for about six months. In those six months I've throne a code about 4 times and it clears within minutes. I have a ScangaugeII. It goes to a no codes within minutes of throwing a code. It only throws a code when you accelerate real hard and then coast.

As long as it stay off, I dont mind it coming on then disappearing after a while

 

A better option is an o2 simulator...
There is a mini specific one...
Might even be slightly cheaper...light will never light.
Devise you are inquiring about just does an autobclear when the light lights up....the issue is still recorded...etc. The o2 simulator is a time tested product....it has been used for years.

 

Tried an o2 spacer didnt work
