Good Stuff (PG)

You do come up with some Great Sh*t... The 4 door coupe, the Mini automatic ad, now this. Oh and lest we forget: "why don't you just read the manual"

Keep 'em coming

Yep, there's a MINI Coupe' I could own, not that ridiculous thing with the "backwards ball cap" roof they currently make.

I really do not understand how the current car got the design OK process, must have been a few Pontiac Aztek engineers got hired on or something.

Wow! OK then ... your opinion is the most valid and trumps all others! Thanks for your input.

WTF is YOUR problem?

I said it was my opinion.......so what, my opinion has no validity if it doesn't agree with yours?

I've found that people are very polarized by the current Coupe design, they either love it or hate it......put me in the latter camp. That doesn't take anything away from those who love it......

And I'm squarely in the other camp! Just turned 4k miles on my 2013 Coupe and have loved every minute.

Did we forget we are all entitled to our opinion on what we like and dislike. Lets not take things personal.

To each their own, but I wouldn't ridicule someone elses choice as rediculous.

I have to agree...

When I first saw the MINI Coupe on the road, it was in my rearview mirror, and I thought... "Wow - nice!"

I slowed down to get a better look as it passed me, and I thought... "Ugh!"

I (for one) just do not like the stumpy and high rear. Or, maybe the rear isn't stumpy and high, but only looks that way because of the roof line. Either way, I am not a fan.

Sadly, it seems as if the whole retro-made-new design idea (that made MINI sales take off like a rocketship) has been thrown under the bus as newer iterations hit the market. Then again, I guess you have to keep designing new things, or everyone gets bored. I'm just really pleased that even thought I have a Cabrio, it has the exterior and interior design of the R53 - before they went and messed with the bonnet lines and tried to make everything super techhy inside, etc. I bought my car because the retro-styling appealed to me - I like that all the gauges and dials are analog, with needles as indicators. I should mention that I have the Chrono Pack, which I got despite the fact that is was at the expense of the classic center-dash speedometer (although it was a tough choice). So I have even more dials, and very few digital displays. It seems as though this design is going the way of the buffalo with each new model.

Of course, I also like chrome - and it makes some others shriek in horror.

Like so many other things in the World of Mini, I suspect that these new designs are going to polarize folks. You either like them or you don't.

He said that ridiculous thing, not your ridiculous choice. So I think you took it personal. Just remember we are all MINIacs.

The original TT model, which last what, 5-7 years, was a great looking car. IMO easily one of the best "modern" versions of a classic car. In fact IMO the best before MINI came around. The current TT isn't as nice.

MINI should stay MINI and Audi should stay Audi.

I'll never forget the photos in one of the car magazines of the original TT model...it was silver, and had these gorgeous orangy-leather seats with baseball glove stitching. I had never seen anything like it, and drooled.

I was a real Audi fan. I had a first-year model Audi A4, it went to 230,000+ miles and still ran fine, but the rear differential was starting to make noise so I traded it in for my 330ix. But I loved that Audi - it was a great car, and bombproof...

Some people have sticks in areas I can't mention on this forum

But I would DEFINITELY own this Coupe by MINI and Audi made.

I agree completely, though it's a shame it didn't drive as well as it looked.

When I was looking for a car for our daughter she really liked the TT and I absolutely loved the A4 convertable but shied away from them because of the cvt automatic transmisions.
Ended up getting her a little Miata instead.
