Check under the rear seat for a release cord. It will have a ring on it to pull.

Your battery is toast. 12.3 volts is about 50% charged. I believe 12.7 is 100% charge. With all the electronics in these cars a weak battery can cause all sorts off odd behavior.

If you don't have comfort access. Comfort access keys aren't expect to be put in the ignition, so have disposable batteries.

Car on lift in red 2009 mini cooper convertible non-turbo

Hello, I was coming home from work when I got the same car on a lift in red, but no service date showed up. I looked at my dash information and not sure what the problem is. the car still starts. My brake light symbol does stay on when I start the car along with a check engine light with a few other symbols. I'm new in the world of mini coopers. I bought mine last year. It has 66,137 miles on it. I just had my car serviced for oil in my coolant. I've had the brake light switch replaced, the starter, thermostat, thermostat housing, fuel pump, fuel pump sending unit all have been replaced Also if there is any other information I could get would be greatly appreciated, GO MINI!! Also my spark plugs need to be changed REALLY BAD. Could that be what that warning lamp is referring to?

Low Oil Pressure

Front Breaks need serviced.

Rear Breaks need serviced.

Low Tire Pressure

I put what I know under each respective photo, don't know all of them. The low oil pressure might be incorrect, can't remember if that's low oil pressure or just indicating it's time for an oil change. My guess is that your car was poorly maintained by the previous owner and most, if not all, of the service indicators are in need of being reset.

Glass cleaner smell no explanation

I appreciate the information. I figured the brakes needed to be changed. Also my mini is making a strange ammonia smell like glass cleaner and I've done research and I can't find anything as to why it's making that smell. I thought it could be spark plugs but I've been told spark plugs wouldn't create that smell. I read that it could be window washer fluid dripping on an engine component, but I haven't put window washer fluid in my car since I've owned it, so I officially ruled that out as well.

Probably something in the heater air intake. Try spraying air freshener or something in the vents outside below the wipers & see if it changes.
