AC compressor "broken"

So my car has been in the dealer for about a week and they said that the compressor was broken and they will have to replace it. The thing is they said since its "crash related" so the warranty wont cover it. My mom said we will have to wait for the adjuster from the insurance. I hate this because this car is spending more time getting repaired than I actually get to drive it. I don't know what it is but maybe I should just replace that car. :( :( :(

Patience young man, patience! Get the MINI repaired, drive the car, enjoy it and see how it goes from there before making any decisions.

I don't understand the point of your post......

Your compressor is broken, so why the quotes?

It's not failed, so it's hardly a warranty item, so it's certainly not the fault of the dealer or the car.

Having to wait for your insurance company to OK the repair is who's fault exactly?

How about the person who crashed the car?

Seriously, I do not understand this post at all except just a place to vent about your impatience.

So now you want to replace the car because you crashed it and something's wrong with it?

More information might help.......

Look, yes I know its my fault for crashing the car. All I'm trying to say is there are problems one after another. I am also pissed because when the car came out of the collision center, the AC was totally fine, the AC problem came out after my first service about a month ago then the dealer is blaming it on me? And yes I am not gonna lie, I am venting.

Dealer never blamed you....
said they cannot warrenty it cause the breakage is due to external forces...the crash, and NOT a manufacturing defect....so call the insurance company, have them re-open the claim, and get it fixed for free!! Simple. Why you would LEAVE the car at a dealer for a week for an ac issue, i have no idea...it is a couple hour fix once you tell the dealer DO IT.
