Mini Cooper Black Out Grille?

So I have come to the conclusion that the Aero Grille for the MINI is somewhat difficult for a n00b such as myself and also a little pricey. So, onto PlastiDip. I thought "This seems much easier, cheaper, and less expensive" except for having to remove the grille. How would you do this (remove the chrome grill pieces), and could you just use PlastiDip without taking off the grill and mask off the whole behind of the grille and obviously the paint? Thanks for your time and if I am annoying with so many posts, I am just curious about ways I could "Black Out" my MINI. Thanks for your time!

Thanks, but this isn't 100% of what I was looking for. This explains how to remove the grill but nothing about PlastiDip. If anybody else has advise or other threads, please share! Thanks for the help anyways!

Except he was also hitting his hood... cuz he was too lazy to take the headlight trip rings off....even though it peels right off, still bugs me.

True enough, the first link tells him how to remove it the second which I provided tells him how to plasti dip.

What he did Doesn't really irk me but I wouldn't want that paint on my car at all either

I don't understand why you would spend the effort masking up the headlight rings like that when it's what, 5 clips per side on the R56? I get on the R53 that it's much harder, but I bet it took him longer to mask than it would have taken to remove the rings!
