Anyone know if there is a MINI section at Bimmerfest this year in Pasadena? If so would anyone in the South Bay/LA county area want to caravan down there? Does anyone know if there is any MINI meetups in LA county?

Alright cool! I'm in Arcata going to HSU, but will be in Torrance all summer. I would love to get a group of MINIs for a meetup or find a existing club to caravan! I missed it last year, but according to my friends with a e30 and e36 it was a huge turnout with some awesome cars.

 

I am always down for a MINI meet. I just hope I will be here for Bimmerfest. Plus I might be hard pressed to bring out the E34 Touring. Nah, the MINI is coming. I am in San Clemente though.

 

Bimmerfest has lost a lot of its luster over the years since the most to Pasadena. The Rosebowl is local, but it just doesn't have the same vibe as it has had before. Back in 09 when they had it in Santa Barbara on a polo field was by far the nicest ever. It was cool and easy on the legs so you weren't tired mid day. I'll probably be there, but rolling with my BMW peeps. If you're out there Porthos, I would definitely like to see your MINI.

 

Alright cool since there is interest I'll see if MINIs are allowed in! If any of you are in the Torrance area there is Import Nights that started as a Datsun meet and now has everything from track civics to LFAs it's actually half Japanese and half German ,with over a 100 cars. I doubt it's anyone here, but one night a white justa showed up that was lowered on what looked like Gold BBS meshes. He didn't stop to say hi though haha =[.

I used to go back when it was in Santa Barbara...those were the days...the "unofficial" drive afterward was always pretty crazy

 

^I had an awesome video of an officer pulling me over and then letting us go. Hit by his laser and the rest of my convoy met up in the next exit.

Hi guys! I'm a little new to this forum and Minis in general, but what is Bimmerfest and when is it? Is it just a car show for BMW fans? I'm from the OC area and wouldn't mind meeting up with some fellow Minis and caravaning up.

My Mini is staying on jack stands over summer while I head home =[ Rotrex miata is coming along nicely though

 

The San Diego caravan to the bimmerfest is meeting in La Jolla at 5:30.
For those who has 2 way radios tune in to channel 7 sub channel 11 and alternate is 6 sub channel 9. The plan is for 100+bimmers and non bimmer to drive up to OC then off to the stadium.

 

do you know what time you guys will be in long beach area? can you send the original link to the caravan information?

 

I am leaving the San Clemente area around 730. I will be in the Subbie because the MINI is still being finished up.
