LTBMW, El Monte, CA Review - Highly Recommended

This review is for LTBMW of El Monte - Please let me know if I'm posting in the wrong forum.

As part of a walnut shell blasting group buy created by Ra2fanatic, I dropped off my car yesterday at LT. Long introduced himself and already knew my name! Right away they were attentive to my needs and called a rental car company to pick me up. As I sat in their waiting room, I could see them working on at least 4-3-Series and a Porsche in the paint booth. All of their cars were CLEAN, the shop was CLEAN and the techs were in no rush. To me, that's calming.. You're less likely to miss stupid things when you aren't rushing. BTW - This place was HUGE! You can't tell by the outside (or the inside) but they must have lots of space! I don't even know half the services that they offer...

Any who, the rental company came by and I was on my way to work in no time in a paid rental. After work, I dropped by and the car was just being finished up. The tech had protective coverings over the areas he was working on. They completed the work on the car exactly when they said they would too. When I was ready to be rung up, I noticed that Long was into the same hobbies I was... cars, bikes, and GOLF. I ended up chatting with Long for a while and he was so genuine!! It's hard to find people in his position that aren't COCKY or think they KNOW everything.. (especially when you're a girl)!

While paying for the service, I also met Ivan, Long's partner.. ANOTHER super duper genuine person!!! I talked to Ivan about cars and tracking the Mini until it got too cold to be outside! These people are REAL people and they are down to earth. They care about their customers and from what I've seen, they do good work.

As for the walnut shell blasting, the engine is smoother and I have the peace of mind. I bought my car used with about 40k miles on it and I don't know how the previous owner treated the car. Turns out, it wasn't THAT bad.. but I got an AWESOME deal that I just couldn't pass up.

I would definitely come back here and recommend them to all of my BMW friends... I kinda have the itch to buy an M3 now... if you walk into their shop, you would too. Just do a Google search for "LTBMW" and check out their rides!

I typically don't write reviews but its hard to find genuine people anymore. Apologize in advanced for any typographical and grammar errors.

Thanks for the right up. It's good to hear when you find a quality service shop.

FYI, I thought I saw something a few weeks back about Long changing the name. Sure enough, http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=731609, I did.

It seems that he had to drop the "B" out of the name.

Yup, you are correct. Having been exposed to several editorial pieces, BMWNA has taken notice to LT's growing business and has recommended he drop the "BMW" portion in the shop name.

They are now LTMW

Though, European Car has published and finalized this piece prior to the name change.

i'll be straight to the point LTBMW gave me great customer service and great pricing for the walnut shell blasting. At first i was skeptical so i did call around a few places including dealerships and the average going rate for this service is anywhere from 900-1400 dollars. Thinking those prices who wouldnt jump on this great price?? If you truly love your Mini, you dont want to miss this opportunity to do so. After the service was done i did notice a few things, the engine was quieter and the motor revved / pulls faster. It may not be the biggest improvement but knowing that my motor is nice and clean gives me the peace of mind. Feels like the first day i bought it brand new from the dealership.. Definitely be going again for my next service, good pricing, clean facility, and great customer service, no reason not to be going again.
Thanks Ra2fanatic for setting this up..

btw i have to agree with Lilasiians8 makes me want to buy a m3 after visiting this shop lol.. very nice cars

Thanks for the comments you two. Another MINI is in for the service today, so hope he can add to the positive reviews.
