I'm about to put in an order for a Cooper S Hardtop but I'm very concerned about space. I do some videography work and was wondering if the Mini can fit C-stand. Can anyone help me out or point me to a thread?

 

I have an '02 Justa (not an S) and I don't think the cargo space has changed much over the years. I'll grab the one out the satellite truck I work out of tomorrow and try it out and post a picture. Are all C-stands alike? I guess I never really thought about it- I handle the satellite transmission end of things, not the lighting and photography.

C-stands come in a few sizes but the standard one is 53". Some have a turtle base which you can take off.

If you could try to fit one in your Mini, that would be very helpful!

You can fit a Reg. C-Stand in, but it's tight and you have to do it diagonally. I also find I take off the head and arm to give me that little bit extra room. If you have a turtle base stand, it fits no problem. I also use the cover for when the seats are down to protect the car. I'm pretty amazed at how much gear I can fit in the car. Hope that helps.

And here's a bigger one.

As you can see, they both fit pretty good. At least one rear seat has to be down. I tried and even the small one won't fit in the cargo area with the seats up.
