02 MCS i get a good 35 highway and more if i baby it. it it all goes down the drain in city driving.

i dont really trust my read out. but i do it the old fashion way. look at how many gallons go in and how many miles are on the odometer. and by doing it that way i usually see 24-26 mpg i do a lot of mixed driving too. im gonna run some cleaners to see if i get any better mpg or if its just my right foot.

First month in my countryman S, FWD. 2100 miles on it. have averaged about 23-24 mpg. 80% city, 20% highway. I do tend to drive the car with a heavier right foot. I made myself back off the gas for a tank and took my time getting up to speed, etc. averaged 28.4 mpg. I figure if I take a trip on the highway it'll probably get high 20s to very low 30s given what I'm getting around town even with a heavy foot.

Yeah I've done a few all highway trips which have returned a decent 30-33mpg.. lol im a newbie to the Mini world and I am also OCD.. not a good combo!

mpg

My '12 MCS is very sensitive to highway speeds. 73( 3000rpm, really 71mph) is the breaking point. If I keep it below 73, my highway mpg is in the high 30's. My combo( 50% city,50% highway) is in the low 30's. This is my second Mini( my first was an '08 s ) and the mileage and power has improved. Overall, fuel on both of my Minis have been fantastic.

I averaged 39.9 on an all-highway, no traffic drive (Pittsburgh to Baltimore). Regular use (lots of stop-and-go on my commute) I get around 31 mpg.

I have an 80 mile round trip commute to campus every day. My car was recently totaled due to some guy's brake failure. I've been taking my dad's mini from time to time while waiting on the one I ordered. He's got a basic hardtop and I averaged 44mpg last week over a 40 mile stretch of highway, no A/C. It was a good feeling.

Definitely with a/c. It was the first week of August!
