Operation: Chuckles - Theo's Buid thread

Wow, looking back at all the old photos is quite trippy. Can't believe I've had the car for nearly 2 years now. Awesome to see the progress that has been made

So, as the title says, here's the build thread of Chuckles. My gf named the car Chuckles coz she says it sounds like a laughing chipmunk when the turbo flutters

I i had to wait to finally get the car. Was 1 hickup after another. But finally, on the 28th of September 2010 I got the car

On the 31st of October I did my first mod, KnN panel filter
Then on 6 November came the 1st visual mod, painted calipers

First wax and polish on 25 November

16 December, a friend of mine gave me a little photoshoot

Not long after a Merc decided he wants some Pug paint :-(

Then came my first "performance" mod; diy induction. also some visuals with some painted parts in the engine bay and some Led lights (which have been removed now)

My first dyno session. Only mod was the cone filter. The sheets also show the results of my DIY intercooler and radiator sprayer

Then came time to install a boost gauge

My first exhaust mod was to just have the stock back box removed. Heres a vid of how it sounded, going up my favourite mountain road

Had a replica of the forge intake made up

Some more DIY visual mods; carbon wrapped interior bits

Got a set of front a rear lower strut braces from the UK (sorry, no pics)

Intercooler was done next

Then had a custom exhaust done. unfortunately i cant find the pics. 3" (76mm) downpipe, 2.5" (63mm) centre and rear section into 2.5" oval Magnaflow muffler

Then finally came some Etuners software. Here are some vids of when I had Chuckles on Stage2+ during the winter

And then on stage 3

Was then in the mood for another visual mod and decided to spray the intercooler, etuners logo

Painted the Tappet Cover

A mention in SpeednSound

Installed an HKS SQV

Officials then started bitching about cars with performance exhaust systems, so i unstalled a cut-out valve in the mid pipe

While the car was on stage 3 software i took her out for a spin 1 night. Then it started raining. 5th gear, 130km/h, no traction

Summer hit again and was back on stage2 software...but she still drives like a dream and sounds awesome

Lights tinted

Chuckles at the 2012 Middle East Motor Tuning Show

Then came time to upgrade the sound. First off I started with a Rockford bass tube and Kenwood monoblock

and this was followed by a set of pioneer 6x9s and a smaller 2-channel kenwood amp

July 2012, 3 hour wash, wax and polish

There are more pics and stuff somehwere, will just have to find it
