Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG - Nice car but our MINI's could run rings around that 451hp Granny transporter.

So....I'm washing all the crud off Viv yesterday and her chrome trim along the front windshield just lifts up. I mean....it's not attached at all by any kind of adhesive....just slipped over the edge. Is that normal?

Normal? No. Common? Too much so. The same happened to me. Tell your dealer to fix it.

Checking in too - somehow missed this thread (no idea how) - wife has dubbed the Mini "Roscoe" .... so Roscoe was delivered 10/6/11 - 6,000 miles later and still love it - easily the most fun car I've ever owned.
Recently had the tint done and a little bit of vinyl on the a-fender area.

and the first picture taken during the break-in period on a short drive up to Red Rocks;

Well we were there for 4 days but we only did one of the scheduled runs - the ice cream run Winston got rained on that day...

Had a great time seeing all the different MINI's and one mini (it was so cute lol). Entered Winston in the car show (didn't win, oh well). I expect to WIN with WINston next year, as I have big plans for him

I will upload photos soon.

How is everyone?

Nice pic! I love red rocks. We're you at MITM in winter park this past weekend and are you a member of MINI5280?

Yup, that is Winston, I tried to talk him up as they judged him. Wow, they were taking off points for dirty calipers. No love!

I really enjoyed seeing Winston in the show.

Yay. I can finally officially join this group.

Picked up "Prince Charlie" over the weekend and have been very busy practicing driving him.(First time driving manual)

Still need to make my launch and shift more gentle and less choppy. Any advice?

Here is a pic of him at the dealership. I will post some more pics after putting the strips and tints on him.

It was nice seeing you too, Don. I woke up an hour late because my phone was set to alarm for "weekdays only!" Winston is lucky he even had a bath, let alone clean calipers

Already looking forward to next year!

Pumpkinhead doesn't know this? I'm shocked! The "f" stands for "factory" - or so i'm told

Beautiful, congratulations! Just go slow in learning the manual. The MINI's are very forgiving when it comes to ease of manual transmission (at least I think so).
