Dealers extras

So going to pick up mine in a few days. Trying to decide about getting tire insurance and any other extras. One I know I want is gap insurance. As I am financing it is important. My previous mini that I crashed less then a year gap saved me paying over $5,000. What does BMW charge? Anyone know?

Who is your insurance provider? I have Progressive and the add-on for having them pay off a loan if the car is totaled was around $10 for 6 months

IMHO none of the dealer add-ons are worth it. You will pretty much always come out ahead if you just save the money and deal with things yourself. Those are almost pure profit for the dealer, and they don't really serve much of any other purpose.

Thanks! Last time I checked progressive was double what I was paying on my insurance. Don't think worth switching just for the gap insurance. Any way know what BMW/mini charges for it? Gap is very important in my opinion and I may have to go through dealer

Thinking back to when I bought my R58 I believe they quoted 750.00 but

I could be wrong.

I work for a dealer, I would get gap insurance as well, but not from the dealer(we charge $750.00), check with your homeowners insurance co. Gap through my homeowners co. was only $250.00 for the term of my loan.
