Hey gang, just picked up my MCS this past weekend. Very excited to have the car, it's awesome! Also looking forward to meeting up with other local owners. My wife and I have been active in other car clubs in the past and we always have a good time. We did part of the M&M rally in 2010. We're planning to attend again this year, though not sure what car we'll take, we now have the '09 MCS and a '90 Miata.

But now with 3 young kids at home, our free time is really limited. So events closer to home are much easier, assuming we can get the nanny to watch the kids. How many owners are on here that live in the Lehigh Valley/Western Montgomery County/Eastern Berks county area? We're 10 miles south of Allentown. My wife and I were also talking about hosting a MINI cookout at our house. We have 3.5 acres of land at our house, most of it is open field. So we'd have plenty of room to put on a gathering and park everyone in the grass. There are even some really cool roads nearby to take a cruise.

I just joined up with Philly Mini and posted there, but figured I'd check here to see if anyone is on this forum who doesn't participate in Philly Mini too.

I got my Mini a month ago and have been looking for clubs near me (Newark DE)...besides Philly there is also a Central Maryland one. I haven't joined either yet as I was hoping there was something closer!

 

Yes, Montgomery County. I looked into the Philly club but haven't joined. Been busy with some school and training, so it's tough to get enough time to do some of the Philly meets. Welcome and good luck with your Mini!

Cool, great to see other locals. If you guys get a chance, join up with Philly MINI, they seem to be a great group.

I'm hoping I'll be able to announce plans for a cookout in our neck of the woods sometime soon. Not sure of date yet. Later in summer or early fall?
