I am going to see where this goes and how much it is to see if I want to give it a try.

They don't list Mini in their car selection but the BMW version is about $300 (same as Sprint Booster). A cheaper alternative is the D1 Spec throttle controller available on eBay for about $140 delivered. There's a review of it somewhere here on NAM. Do a search if you're interested.

website says $299 for the bmw specific units. I suspect same for MINI. Did they say when the website would be updated and MINI verified?
Interesting! Let us know if you jump on it and what it does.

There is a thread on the D1 Spec whatever, sounds like it works but installation is more complex (spicing wires and so forth.) or you have to plug it into the OBD2 port. Personally I'm satisfied with what I paid for the SB ($249 on a group buy I believe.) considering it took 2 minutes to install.
I hope this new item works and is aggressively priced, though. More competition is good for everyone.

Doesn't the ECU eventually adjust the throttle response curve back to stock, or close to stock, with products like this and the Sprint Booster?
I have a Sprint Booster and when you first install it it's amazing but after a few days the ECU seems to make adjustments and throttle lag comes back and it feels just like it did before adding the part.
At least that's what seems to be happening on mine.

Nope, the ECU does not compensate or readjust anything. What's probably happening is you're getting used to the "new" pedal response and it stops feeling different. A few times I've bumped the switch and inadvertently turned off the SB. I thought my car was broken, it felt sluggish and neutered. Try turning it off, driving for a few miles, and then turning it back on, or even cycling through the settings while in motion. It'll highlight the difference between stock and modified.
