Engine Malfunction! Reduced Power

I went to move my car today. Been sitting in my drive way a whole 48 hours. Went to go back it out and the car started like crap... then stalled. This is what it says on the screen

They are going to come and get it and tow it the 50 miles to Mini of Sterling.

So the report back is the thermostat died, and it should be ready tomorrow.

They also said that the noise I had was 3 broken wire clips in the dash and 2 in the driver door. I am not sure exactly what happened to my car on the driver side to have 5 broken wire clips, but that is that.

Will report back when I get her back.

Glad to hear that it is nothing too serious. Bet that is a relief for you.

That is a lame amount of digital drama for a thermostat failure! Come on MINI!
This is what, a thermostat/housing replacement issue? I'm a little thrown by the expense demanded by the corp.

I am, still a giant pain in the *** for a car 7 months old 14k. My Beetle had 114k miles and never needed anything. 78k on my Xterra and only a little AC work at 70k, 97k on my Altima and a power steering hose at 93k.

It certainly is a pain in the *** for a 7 month old car. Here's wishing you many trouble free miles of motoring from now on.
