Parrot Bluetooth installation question...

For those of you that have installed the Parrot Bluetooth with the MFSW...

First off, does it work okay?

Second, what parts did you order from them? I think one would need these:

1 - Parrot CK3000 Evolution kit
1 - QCBMW-F or QCBMW-R harness adapter (depending on type of pin in
the connection, Flat or Round)
1 - SW101 Steering Wheel Controller

Is this correct?

Thanks...

Note: This is for a '09 Clubman S with the MFSW

I installed the ck3000 in my 2005 R50 with MFSW. It works fine for me. I placed the mic on the driver's A pillar. I think that is a better location than the passenger headliner where the factory mic was located in the 05.

My setup is for use with a Iphone 4. I wanted to be able to initiate, answer, hangup from the MFSW. Since I have the iphone 4 and it has voice dialing, all I have to do is hit the phone button on the wheel and the phone will initiate the voice command app. I can tell it who to dial and bingo. Done.

I also have the aux input cable on my stereo and i can use the ipod feature and control the songs etc. with the same voice app thru the ck3000.

Now, I am not familiar with the cables you are referring to. The easiest hookup I found (and cheapest), was to contact Mikey at www.newministuff.com. He has cables made up that connect the Parrot to the car stereo head unit and you are done.

Good luck.

It looks like "Mikey" is located in the UK. Would that be "practical" to order such an item from overseas?

Newministuff.com has a pretty good online rep. I found them from trolling numerous sites looking for a way to do exactly what you are wanting to do.

If you poke around his site, you will see pics of him on location at the home of the Bugatti Veyron maker.

Now, being in the UK, it does mess with the costs because of exchange rates. The harness cost more than the Parrot. But for my 2005 I didn't have a retrofit OEM cable setup that I could get that wasn't gonna cost a heck of a lot more and be way more difficult to install.

Just my .02.
