Sportier Sound?

Outside of a new exhaust system or air intake system, (I really don't need any more speed), is there any way to make my 2010 ClubmanS sound a little more like a sports car? I read something about a little plastic piece that can be removed, but don't quote me please. Thanks for any ideas. denny lowe

Boost tubing is what you are thinking of. Removing the hot side muffler will help and removing the noise maker. Also to help you a catless downpipe.

You could also just get a fart can muffler with dual 8" exhaust and join the ricers with their all sound and no show movement........

You don't knock the fart can. They have a time in a place. Like on a stance out Civic or something.

You sir have no taste. I love Vader body kits with crappy chrome 18 inch wheels and the biggest bookshelf spoiler I can find.

Drive with the Sport button on and use the built in addition.

I know you say you don't want an intake... but get an intake, or an exhaust. It is not going to transform your car into a rocketship, it may add a couple of HP but you'll get that sound you're looking for.

Thanks for the replies. Which intake would you buy? I have seen nM and Afe and some others, but each one appears very different than the other, and frankly I don't know where to begin. Other than the nM looks pretty cool with the blue pipes, that's about all I know.

Get an intake. I test drove a bunch and got used to the sound of the Mini. The one I ended up with has the Alta Intake and pipe for the cold side I guess it is. Anyway, I don't know if it added any HP but I've grown addicted to the intake noise coupled with the wastegate noise. I might need some exhaust to go with it. No! I don't need the exhaust! Yes I do! No I don't! Yes I do!!!

Clearly I am conflicted.

Where would you get a challenge exhaust? I'm sure it's insanely expensive, and probably only from the dealer. That said, I love the burbly sound!
