This looks pretty cool! Factory heated Recaro seats in your MINI!
The Recaro Seats (known as option 4FA) will retail for $3,000 on Cooper models and $2750 on MCS and JCWs. That includes the price of the heated seat as well. The option will be available starting with March 2012 builds.
To bad they're only in black. For a little more money you can pick up the much better looking Euro Recaro's. But if I had the option and could of got them in Beige I probably would of added them.
The Recaro option seats kind of remind me of the MK5 R32/GTi seats. Not my cup of tea since I love my bucket seats in my cars but these do hold you quite well, are heated and retain factory SRS compatibility...
If I'm not mistaken, Recaros (be they in a MINI or VW) are bucket seats. Bucket seats are merely seats with a contoured back (curved to hold you) and are designed to hold only one person.
And the MINI ones aren't the prettiest, but I bet they feel very comfortable. There are so many other things that I'd spend my money on first, though!

You are correct. I was referring the a non-reclinable/fixed back seat.
I'm sure they are going to be super comfy too! How can you beat a comfy, heated, hold you in place seat?!
They're not the same as those in the Cadillac CTS-V. Here's the best picture I have handy of the Recaros in my 2012 V Wagon. They are 14 way adjustable, heated and cooled, suede inserts and they were a $3400 option. Worth every penny.

Yup I agree with you on that. I sat in those at the autoshow and realized how good they are. On top of that I've own'd 2 Evo's and those Recaro's are superb. I don't doubt the ones we're getting will be good or not but I just don't see why they didn't opt for the Euro ones that are available now. It has to be a style thing I bet.
These (heated and side airbags for $3,800 shipped)
