Where to go for OEM Parts?

OK so I'm new to the mini world, this is my first non American car ever (I've owned over 20 GM and Ford vehicles over the years). Anyway I'm having trouble figuring out where to go for OEM replacement parts online, I gave the local dealer a shot but they want to charge retail and make a killing off me. I know there are plenty of GM and Ford sites out there but the Mini online marketplace seems to be shrouded in mystery.

I tried DDM Tuning and was disappointed (should have checked the BBB first), currently trying ECS Tuning and they seem to have excessive delays in shipping. Is this standard practice in the Mini parts market (to have parts take 2+ weeks to ship to you) or am I just looking in the wrong places?

Feel free to PM me with any suggestions outside of the sponsored venders or even better if it is a sponsored vender post here. I'm just looking for decent pricing with decent shipping time. Loving the Mini, not loving getting parts for it so far.

Thanks for any help, feel free to move this post if you feel it would be better located elsewhere or post a link to an area of the forums I can read answers myself, I looked but couldn't find an answer.

Take a look at the vendor directory to find all the parts you will need. Minicarparts.net and MiniMania have quite the catalogs for OEM.

Maybe I need to clarify, I'm looking for OEM replacement/ repair parts

Ministrater, I have checked those sites and while they carry mini parts they don't carry most if any of the repair parts I'm looking for (bumper, bumper support, hood, and all the little pieces and parts)

Porthos, I have found realoem.com and LOVE it, that is how I figured out what part numbers I need, but they were about 10-50% higher than ECS across the board, and I didn't see where you could actually order parts on their site, it appeared to me it was just a parts search tool. I could be mistaken.

Thanks for the responses

Outmotoring has oem parts, and if you don't see something on line, call him!

http://www.outmotoring.com/

Way Motor works is also a good place to get oem stuff. Again, call, if you don't see what you want.

I still don't see the parts I'm looking for on those 2 sites. I have part numbers such as: 51117199856 (aero front bumper), 51647145012 (front radiator support), and don't see parts like this on those sites.

Call Way. If he doesn't have something, he can put you on the right path. Porthos is correct too... Realoem.

Several MINI dealerships sell parts on-line and ship, so you may not be stuck paying your local dealership's chosen markup. I think that Classic MINI used to have pretty good pricing. I think that one of the new CA dealerships that support White Roof Radio also ships parts.

MINI of Dallas gives a pretty good discount to members of Metroplex MINI... perhaps your local club has a similar arrangement?

I have used MIMIof S. Atlanta & one dealer in N.J. (the one in N.J. sells things on eBay, but can't remember the name). Good luck with both.

Just google those part numbers and you'll find what you are looking for.

While our full catalog system is still under development, we have a great feature called "Quick Shop" located here where you can input any MINI part number and check your price and live availability. If we do not have it, we will get it within 24 hours. Also in regards to price, we try our best to be lowest anywhere online and will try to match anyone else online. Make sure to register for the site before browsing to receive your NAM discount.

If you have any questions, contact me anytime at the information below!

How can I find out the part numbers to the OEM parts I need? For example, two of parts in question are the rear bumper cover and rear lift gate for a 2011 MCS.

Thanks
