Does he just use the stock nut that comes on the back of the projector or is there more substantial bracing?

You can see the MH1's here if you'd like :: http://blackflamecustoms.com/product...rojectors-p-85 (pics and videos)

They genuinely do have a good amount of width, depth and intensity in regards to light output

Yes, I used the D2S projectors on my retrofit and had to cut much more material than I expected to have to. Still not 100% happy with the results even a year latter, need to take mine apart and redo some stuff.

What I would like to see - is an upgrade of the Gen 1 original Xenon lights (pre refresh) to bi xenon projectors...

Hmm those wouldn't be for a set with flat black housings and hyper blue shrouds would they?

Very happy to see more MINI people jumping aboard on BFC. JB is a great guy- all together we've had about ~80 emails back and forth, and he answers within 5 minutes most times- really some of the best customer service I've ever received. Reasonable price when you compare it to what Xenons are from the factory (plus the cost of painting, bi-xenon conversion, etc, they are very reasonable).
I should be getting my lights in mid-next week. I will post pictures of cutoff, head on, and some various pictures of it. Can't wait can't wait can't wait.
