BlackFlameCustoms HIDs Installed
BlackFlameCustoms HIDs Installed
Just received today, JB at BFC endured many of my questions and couple weeks of waiting they are here! Just wanted to let everyone know the install took minutes (a few extra for the pictures) and no codes thrown. I'm not saying this will not happen but as of right now, zero. Will drive some tonight to give better Idea. Also, i'm sure some adjustments will still need to be made to get correct height.

@teebo7 - Those are sweet. I would def retrofit if I didn't have the xenons on mine.
How are you liking your 5000k's? I was thinking of changing mine to 5000K but don't know of any good aftermarket replacements.

I'll talk with some of my vendors when they are back from SEMA and see if I can dig up any info for you on availability. 5000k is nice as it's a pure white.
Wish I had some better info for you ... the bulbs on OEM Xenon's for the Mini Coopers are D1S, which I don't regularly deal with.

No errors so far. Never had HIDs before so I asked JB to look at my light pattern to see where I'm at. Honestly been too busy to test but so much brighter than stock halogens. Tomorrows first test. 1 hr ride to work. Will let you know more after!
No problem. I hope to have an answer by tomorrow for you.
Checked out the beam pattern for you, as noted in the email -- everything looks great. The passenger side could use a super tiny amount of a counter-clockwise tweak (takes about 5 minutes to do) but that's it.
On the bulb-error-warning, it only popped up after 30+ minutes of driving.
To note this with everyone we have had one or two reports of this in the past (on the dozens of Mini lights we've done) and have already put fix for the situation in motion (being finalized now actually -- SEMA delays everything around this time of year
).
Oddly enough it doesn't seem to happen to all Mini's -- just a select few
Regardless -- I expect to have a harness setup together this week to send out for testing and a fix on the 30+ minute warning light. It's not something to be concerned with, but it is an annoyance.
I wanted to publicly note it, rather than have anyone think we are keeping it from them

Thank you SIR!
As noted in our emails, that passenger side needs a slight slight tweak counter-clockwise (which can be done with the housings built in rotational adjustments).
Talk with you soon enough.
