I've never been much of a fan of the roof. Perhaps it would work on another car, but it looks odd on a MINI.

The roof just looks so out of place, especially when viewed from the side

I agree, Mini seems to be known for the flat roof, other than the roof the interior isn't all that bad

I like it. I think it'll look even better in person.

Need to see it in person. Overall concept is pretty good but not sure about the roof as well. It looks really good from the front and not too bad from the rear. Just wish they were able to shave some weight with this but I understand that it actually weights 50 or so pounds more than the equivalent regular MINI.

I like it. But I'd still have to get the hardtop cause I actually need the room in back. But ...if I didn't I wouldnt' mind having that car.

It looks like it's wearing a red toupee. Oh dear, that just will not do.

I'm not sure how I feel about the looks but it seems weird to me that it costs more than the regular Cooper. I guess they figure anyone shopping for a 2 seater has money to burn?

I'm curious about Canadian pricing. Probably about $10k more at least.

Why would this be an option if you are looking at a clubman. There are only 2 seats and less storage space. Just trying to think logically of course

It's not really a option, I just happen to come across it when I did a search on 2012 Mini cooper.

A buddy of mine saw the camouflaged one in Omaha pulled over by 2 Highway patrol cars.

*P.S. no offense to the OP, but there are already other threads about this.

I'm new here, hello. Introductions and signature edits will come later tonight after work. I do however want to comment on this Coupe.

Honestly, after recently buying my second Mini S, I'm totally down to ditch the back seats and hop into the coupe. I mean, it can only handle better than the Mini already does, and I'm totally down for that. I'm just wondering how much less it weighs compared to the standard Mini, and is it worth the extra money in terms of performance and handling. If it weighs more than a standard Mini (considering it seems to have a load of electronic features including the speed controlled rear wing), I'll just stick to the Cooper.

It weighs about 45 lbs more than the Hatch, that's mostly because they based it off of the MCC body. They then added a metal roof. They then added MORE braces and stiffening material. As such this is by far the stiffest MINI chassis out there.

Long story short.... I want one, in JCW form. I'm thinking BRG2 or DS with red roof and contrasting stripes. And then OZ serie Rosa Ultras.
