sitting here, watching my DVR'd soap opera "The Young And The Restless", and the final scene today was of a MINI, being driven by Abby,"the Naked Heiress", daughter of Ashley, who is a passenger in her pepper white w/ black bonnet stripes, get into a horrific accident.....NOOOOOOOOOO ....OMG....horrible! Final scene has them both bleeding atop deflated airbags


....stay tuned....

 

On a more positive note they gave away two MINI's this week on the Price Is Right....

 

REALLY??!! I only get to see the first couple of games, as I have to leave for work Would love to see that!!

Ok, heres the update: MINI on my soap, The Young And The Restless, a MINI was crashed on Friday (cliffhanger friday), 2 women in it. They purposely struck a person, then veered off the road and hit a tree. Occupants will survive....guy they hit....maybe not.....gotta drag it out for the drama factor...air bags deployed, front slightly scrunched...my eyes, my eyes...POOR SWEET MINI!!!!!!!!!!!

 

watching the price is right as I'm typing this and they actually just gave away a 2011 hot chocolate cooper as part of one of the showcase showdowns. AND the woman passed it. CLEARLY she doesn't realize what she just gave up...

 

W H A T ? ! ? Some people just aren't right...hope she didn't win!! LOVE that show, though I do miss Bob...

 

ya..but thankfully she didn't win, the other woman won both showcases

Ya know, when Bob was there, he had a strict policy of NEVER featuring foreign cars...

 

In the series finale of "Guiding Light" (the greatest soap opera ever) two years ago, James Spaulding picked up Ashley and Daisy in his MINI cabrio.

Also, on the "Big Love" series finale a few months ago, Barb traded in her banged up station wagon for a gorgeous blue MINI S convertible. In one scene, Barb took the 2 other wives ("Big Love" followed the lives of a fictional polygamist family) out for a spin through the Utah countryside.

I love to see MINIs on TV shows or in the movies!!

PS I didn't know that Bob B. had that policy about foreign cars on TPIR. You learn something new every day.

 

Despite the thread title, I think this is a duplicate of an existing thread.

 

Tonight on NCIS the bad guy gets shot and falls five stories and lands on a car that is parked next to a MINI, sure glad they had him fall on a Tarus and not the MINI...

 

I'm surprised no one has mentioned it. In Scrubs, Turk and Carla drive a MCS convertible (R52).

 

I worked on Charmed for a few seasons and in one episode the story line had Alyssa changing flat on her Cooper S. On the day they were to shoot the scene they could not find the " spare " . They knew I had a mini and asked what was up ? I told them about the run flats and they had to rush out and get a space saver spare from the dealer to do the scene .

Yes, I am! I DVR it too, so I can not only speed through the commercials, but also the story lines I don't like very much. I think Tucker really loves Ashley, but you know that can turn on a dime in Soap Opera World!
Let's hope the Mini and Tucker are both restored!
