VIN number decoder?

I can't find the website where you can type in your VIN number and it gives you all your options?

Anyone know?

Thanks,

Mark

I can't find the site but you can type in the VIN and it gives you every option that the car came with. I'll keep checking.

It worked for me, but didn't tell me anything I couldn't know from looking at the car, and the owner's manual. Nothing about options (except trans).

If they're open, any MINI dealer can do that for you.

Unless it's not for a MINI.

Only BMW has the information. BMW would have to be the ones to provide such a website, and actually they do... for the dealers. I don't see why BMW would make their database available to the general public and there are privacy concerns if anybody can enter an arbitrary VIN number. You can just ask a dealer for the information.

Maybe you were thinking of the MINIUSA Owner's Lounge (http://ol.miniusa.com). However, it only had information while your car was on order and was never completely accurate.

You could try this thread: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...r-car-has.html . Basically it is a NAM member (UnderatedMINI) who has access to the dealer system and volunteered to look up vehicles.

OG, I got a Build Sheet that tells what day/time each part was put on, it was given to me with all of the other Paperwork when I picked up Molly, is that what you are wanting??

There's a member on here, UnderatedMINI, that will do it for your MINI if you send them a PM.

Thanks all, I had found a website a few years ago that you could type in the VIN and it would tell you what packages, etc, etc were on the car.

I personally don't want it not but a friend of mine is looking to buy a mini and wanted to verify what the dealer is telling him before he drives out of town to check it out.

Thanks everyone.

go to your dealer's service desk, ask them to print out what you want; here are pics of what they clearly have...

Thanks but like I said it's for a friend of mine looking to buy a mini. I'm sure he'll want to doublecheck several minis. I highly doubt my dealer would be very friendly to have someone keep running VIN #'s...lol.
