My very first MINI...WooHoo

So we purchased my first MINI. She is a used 2010 Cooper S convertible and I am so friggin' excited. We almost had one last month and the jerk had it listed on Ebay, Cars.com, Autotrader etc. and when he accepted our offer nerv took it off Ebay after we had the pre-purchase inspection I guess the Ebay auction ended and he sold it to the person who bid higher then what we offered. That was a huge bummer. But everything happens for a reason and now I know why. I don't know how to drive a stick and don't really want to learn (I have a hard enough time not stalling on my motorcycle when taking off) so save all the funny comments, hehe!
The previous owner installed the JCW Aero and Performance upgrades which I am so siked about.
One question I do have is that the cold-weather package is not included but is it pre-wired if I wanna get the heated seats as it gets cold her in Jersey? Any suggestions on sound systems it doesn't have the Harmon Kardan so I will be looking to upgrade that too.
Id on;t pick her up till Saturday which stinks bc I don't think I am going ot get sleep for 2 nights.
Thanks for reading my ramble

Very cool! Congrats! Although I'm not sure how you go about it, the heated seats would definitely be a worthwhile upgrade. You might want to check with the MINI dealer. I've been using my seat heat every morning for the last week--and I'm in Florida. So, I'm really sure they would come in handy in Jersey! Enjoy!

I know for sure you can upgrade to the HK. Check out the Nav/Audio forum.

When you say it's pre-wired for heated seats, do you mean it's already inside the seats? If that's the case I'd think it would be somewhat simple.

Nice lookin' MINI. Good luck to you, and...

Nice find! I especially like those wheels with the JCW bits. By the way, guys like 6 speed shifters and gals like heated seats. I'm not sexist, that's just the way it is.

I know what you mean about driving a manual transmission. I have never driven one before, and upon ordering my 2011 MCS, my husband suggested we get it in manual because it is $1250 saved, but honestly Im not willing to learn! Especially on my brand new car... Plus I really enjoy driving the steptronic transmission Oh, and definately make the upgrade to the Harmon Kardan sound system, it's totally worth it! Enjoy your Mini

Thanks everyone we drove her home today from DC and can't be more excited. I posted this question in another forum so maybe someone can help?

I just picked up a 2010 Cooper S Convertible with a JCW Aero and Tuning kit installed. We can't figure out how to use the rear fog lights. There is one button underneath the A/C that turns on the front fogs but how do I turn on the rears? Not sure I will ever use the rears but I would like to know how to use them. The one green indicator light turns on in the big screen. It looks like there is a spot for the rear fog indicator but I can't figure out how to turn them on.
Another ? even though this may not pertain to this section of the forum, looks like the Sirius Radio is still fully functional, but when I programmed the stations which I liked a few hours later the default stations took over and all the ones I programmed got erased, any thoughts? Could it be because I used the other set of keys?
BTW I love my new/used MINI......

Regarding the keys - yes the radio stations will store on the specific keys if the 2010's are like most BMW products. I am not sure about your rear fogs but try flipping the switch one way for front and the other way for rears. Seems like I read somewhere that one switch controls both. Enjoy your MINI!!

Not sure if the seats have the heating elements in them. If not, there is an excellent post here in NAM within the last year, I believe, that details how to add seat heat.

I am totally addicted to my seat heat and it broadens the temp span for comfortable top down motoring. I can drive in shirt sleeves a in the low 50's and be comfortable. Beautiful MINI!!
