What You Hate Most about Your Mini???
Yes, but unfortunately it is still an appliance; a nice one, but still an appliance...
The thing is, not everyone is focused on just getting from Point A to Point B. Some folks, actually many of us, care about HOW it is done. A Honda Fit would NOT be my weapon of choice, but for some it is. People just have different priorities, that's all. A MINI, and in this case I think the Countryman was being discussed, does not directly compare with a Fit. They are really intended for different customers. I think most of the people that would buy a Countryman are really looking for a MINI and not a Honda.
I hate the seatbelts. They always get stuck inbetween the seat and the door and then I have to crack open the door in order to get the seatbelt on.
I also would not get the sunroof again. Too many squeaks and rattles and it gets sooo hot inside the car in the summer.
Don't get me wrong, I would buy another MINI in a heartbeat!!!!

My biggest complaint is just the quality. I love everything else about the car. To the people unhappy about the wind noise from the sunroof, I agree to an extent. My '02 SLK 32 AMG had wayyy more issues with air noise than my Mini so it doesn't really bother me much at this point. At least this car has an air tight seal, the SLK was terrible in the rain with defrosters on. Also, my boot latch button decided to stop working. Kind of annoyed, but not really a big deal.
I hate:
1. No factory auto-up windows
2. The cup holders (front and center)
3. No arm rest (center or on the door)
4. The water that comes inside after it rains, or after spraying the windshield
5. The factory stereo
6. The seats (no side bolstering)
Except every time I see, get in, and/or drive my MINI, this is my face:
I love my car. I so glad I bought it and its always a thrill to drive. I love the compliments, comments, and questions I get about the car. I've owned a Volvo S60 R, Altima SE-R, 3 Mustangs, and a Lancer and nothing compares.

I got one that I don't think anyone can match
One thing I recently discovered about my mini is that the guy I bought it off of a month ago actually RIVETED the front license plate to the bumper!!!!
It not only makes putting a frame on it very hard.... and yes I did get one before I discovered this
(it was supposed to match the one on the back)
....But it also makes replacing plates (for custom ones) kinda hard. And before anybody asks....no, the rear one is mounted normally (THANK GOD)

I hate that my wife won't ride in it with me because the seats/suspension are too uncomfortable for her.
+1 on hate for having to crane neck to see if the light's green yet
+1 hate for the water around the doors (notice this most after a carwash)
I actually like the 2x (dual stage) door opening system. It's quicker than fumbling with a lock button/switch. I do hate when others start pulling it harder when it does do anything on the first pull.

YES!! This!!! Every single one of my passengers has done this and I'm worried that one day one of them is going to rip the door handle right off!
Auto up is not part of a package, they might need to be initialized if the battery ever went dead from sitting on a showroom floor. I think if you press and hold for a couple of seconds after it hits the top and bottom then they have been "relearned" It happened in our 2008 Mazda CX-7 all of the time.
hrmm.... Are you guys sure auto-up is supposed to be standard on the 2011? I'd hate to call my dealer complaining about it only to find out that it's only part of the convenience or comfort package or one of those packages I don't have.
And if it's just a matter of reinitializing them, how can I do this? Yetti posted some info on this but if anyone can confirm the exact procedure, I'll give it a try and see.
btw, mine's a convertible. I don't know if the windows work differently on it than on the non-convertibles.

Well, my "complaint" would be "hey, my auto-up isn't working on my windows...can you guys please fix it", not some kind of irate rant including calling Geraldo to do a special episode about the dealership.

But since a lot of dealerships are not entirely knowledgeable and may not give me the right info, I think I may be able to get more accurate info from people here as to whether this is supposed to be a standard feature on my car.
